 nard
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nEternal Summer: Paintings by Philip Connard\n\n\n\n\n\n
 \n\n\n\n\nDate:  Saturday 1 June 2024  –  Saturday 30 November 2024\n
 Free Entry\n\nMonday – Saturday. 10am – 4pm.\nClosed Sundays &amp\; B
ank Holidays.\nPlan your visit here.\n\nFrom an unpromising start as a So
uthport painter and decorator\, Philip Connard rose to prominence as a suc
cessful Impressionist artist and a Royal Academician. This exhibition char
ts his career including a remarkable period as a war artist serving on the
Navy’s first submarines to an important muralist who created magnificen
t decorations for the room housing Queen Mary’s dolls house.\n\nThis exh
ibition brings the work of an overlooked artist back into the spotlight\,
featuring examples of his work from our national collections.\n\n\n\n\n\n
