DESCRIPTION:TURNER PRIZE 2022\n20 OCTOBER 2022 – 19 MARCH 2023\n\nOne of 
 the best-known prizes for visual art is back in Liverpool\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe
  Turner Prize returns to Tate Liverpool in 2022. The prize is awarded to
  a British artist for an outstanding exhibition or other presentation of t
 heir work in the preceding year as determined by a jury.\nThe four shortli
 sted artists for the Turner Prize 2022 are:\n\n\n 	Heather Phillipson\n 	I
 ngrid Pollard\n 	Veronica Ryan\n 	Sin Wai Kin\n\nJoin us for a free exhibi
 tion of the nominees work at Tate Liverpool from 20 October 2022 to 19 Mar
 ch 2023. The winner will be announced in December at an award ceremony in 
 Liverpool.\n\nThe Shortlist:\nHeather Phillipson\nNominated for her solo e
 xhibition RUPTURE NO 1: blowtorching the bitten peach at Tate Britain\, 
 London and her Fourth Plinth commission\, THE END. Phillipson’s wide-ra
 nging practice involves collisions of wildly different materials\, media a
 nd gestures in what she calls "quantum thought experiments".\n\nIngrid Pol
 lard\nNominated for her solo exhibition Carbon Slowly Turning at MK Gall
 ery\, Milton Keynes. Working primarily in photography\, but also sculpture
 \, film and sound\, Pollard’s work questions our relationship with the n
 atural world and interrogates ideas such as Britishness\, race and sexuali
 ty.\n\nVeronica Ryan\nNominated for her solo exhibition Along a Spectrum
  at Spike Island\, Bristol and her Hackney Windrush Art Commission in Lon
 don. Ryan creates sculptural objects and installations using containers\, 
 compartments\, and combinations of natural and fabricated forms to referen
 ce displacement\, fragmentation and alienation.\n\nSin Wai Kin\nNominated 
 for their involvement in the British Art Show 9 and their solo presentati
 on at Blindspot Gallery\, Frieze London. Sin brings fantasy to life throug
 h storytelling in performance\, moving image\, writing\, and print. Drawin
 g on their own experience existing between binary categories\, their work 
 realises fictional narratives to describe lived realities of desire\, iden
 tification\, and consciousness.\n\nThe Jury:\nThe members of the Turner Pr
