  is: Boundaries and belonging - who has access to our countryside?\nJoin o
 ur In Conversation event with Dr Mark Riley (Reader in Human Geography\, U
 niversity of Liverpool) and Durre Shahwar (Writer and Artist) as they disc
 uss and question who has access to the countryside.\nAs this year celebrat
 es 90 years since the mass trespass of Kinder Scout – where walking grou
 p protesters demonstrated against the lack of access to rural spaces – R
 iley and Shahwar will explore how representations of the rural have (re)sh
 aped\, over time\, who has access to nature and who ‘belongs’ there.\n
 To accompany this conversation\, there will be a short film that examines 
 the representation of women of colour in the countryside. It explores how 
 nature creates and defines our identities and provides safe spaces we seek
  out in an increasingly unsafe world. Riley and Shahwar will also consider
  how social media offers (re)emerging narratives of the rural.\n\n\n\n\n
