DESCRIPTION:\n\nIt’s 2053. All of the artworks in Tate Liverpool’s spec
 ial exhibition An Imagined Museum have vanished\, replaced by a ‘living 
 museum’ an army of people assembled to preserve the memory of the artwor
 ks that were once on display.\n\n2053: A Living Museum is the extraordinar
 y conclusion of Tate Liverpool’s special exhibition\, An Imagined Museum
 : works from the Centre Pompidou\, Tate and MMK collections.\n\nFollowing 
 the closure of the exhibition on Sunday 14 February 2016\, the exhibition 
 will reopen on 20 February 2016 with the artworks removed\, replaced by a 
 person or group remembering or performing each of the artworks that were o
 nce on display.\n\nVisitors can expect to see a wide variety of performanc
 es including dance\, song and spoken word.\n\nAn Imagined Museum and 2053:
  A Living Museum draw on Ray Bradbury’s book\, Fahrenheit 451 (1953)\, w
 here characters become a living library of banned books to preserve their 
 content for future generations.\nStarting at 10.00 on Saturday 20 February
  2016 each of the artworks that were in An Imagined Museum will be ‘reme
 mbered’ one at a time. Each performance will express the unique impact a
 nd values that only art brings into our lives.\n\nPerformance\nAlexandra P
 irici and Manuel Pelmuş\nSaturday 20 and Sunday 21 February\, 10.00 – 1
 7.00\nAcclaimed artists Alexandra Pirici and Manuel Pelmuş will present a
  new work entitled Ongoing Perishable Objects. The work addresses the role
  of the public museum as an institution which collects\, historicises and 
 displays cultural artefacts\, the artists’ ongoing live action harnessin
 g the expressive and discursive potential of the body to re-enact a sequen
 ce of ten works by artists including Andy Warhol and Louise Bourgeois from
  An Imagined Museum. Their live work rethinks the relationship between spe
 ctator and artwork\, initiating a dialogue positioning the body as a carri
 er of cultural and social information while asking us to consider the meth
 ods by which museums preserve and value art.\n\nEnglish National Ballet (F

 rovisation\, capturing Cruz-Diez’s colour shifting Physichromie through 
 a special musical performance.\n\nIn The Frame\nSaturday 20 February\, fro
 m 14.30\nWorking together with artist educator\, Jon Barraclough\, In The 
 Frame have created a sound piece that reflects The Fall’s energy and ten
 sion.\n\nTate Liverpool Community Collective\nSunday 21 February\, from 10
 .00\nWorking together with artist\, Jonty Lees\, Tate Liverpool’s develo
 ping Community Collective will re-enact Boetti’s embroideries created by
  women in Afghanistan and Pakistani refugee camps following the Soviet inv
 asion in 1979.\n\nMerseyside Dance Initiative\nSunday 21 February\, from 1
 0.00\nInspiring people through dance\, MDI will reimagine Reg Butler’s 3
 9 small bronzes\, ‘Musée Imaginaire’ – ‘Museum without Walls’\n
