  Flood has developed a body of work based on flowers that she had received
  as gifts\, “Un Dono di Fiori” – translated as a Gift of Flowers. He
 r work\, which starts as an observational still life\, builds in its enqui
 ry\, considering the vibrancy or subtlety of the colours as well as the ar
 ray of textural qualities within the composition.\n\nWorking in both acryl
 ics and oils\, Louise builds her work using brushes\, palette knives as we
 ll as her hands and fingers. The resulting canvasses create the balance of
  depth and detail that gives her work the sense of exploration and express
 ion not often associated with such a traditional subject matter.\n\nStaack
