Still life acrylic painting 1 day workshop (3 hours)
Basics-What you need to know for drawing to scale with paint, suitable for beginners.

The one day session is ideal for beginners to art or new to still life. This covers what you need to know to start getting scale correct.
The main topics are split into different exercises to gain knowledge of the different areas required. Artist Andrew Banks is there for individual support and guidance within a small group environment, for you to get creative.
There will be two different set ups to choose from – a traditional set up inspired by Paul Cezanne. Or a fashion set up with mannequin.
It’s a relaxed and enjoyable day, with hints & tips throughout, with individual and group discussions and demonstrations to suit different style of learners. IT IS NOT BACK TO SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT!
During the day, topics below are discussed & demonstrated
How to start, scale, measuring, mapping out, colour theory
Basic composition, introduction of topic that is covered on different courses.
Art history, examples around room as inspiration and to consider and enhance knowledge of artists from master to contemporary artists, showing different styles & techniques.
