There will also be a vintage fair upst airs in the sumptuous surroundings of the Concert Room for lovers of all t hings retro. It’s one of the best independent shopping experiences in th e city!\n\nThe Summer and Winter Arts Markets are organised by local socia l enterprise Open Culture\, who have been working in partnership with St G eorge’s Hall to stage the events since 2009. The aim of the markets is t o provide the public with the opportunity to purchase unique\, affordable products directly from artists and makers themselves\, supporting independ ent creative businesses\, promoting local talent and keeping money local.\ n\nShoppers needing a break can relax in the café at the North Entrance\, with locally-sourced food including hearty breakfasts\, hot and cold lunc h options\, hot and cold drinks and delicious cakes to suit every taste.\n \nA children’s Craft Lab workshop will also take place throughout the we ekend with the Silly Scientists of KECS Creative offering children and fam ilies the chance to build their own summery artwork to take away!\n\nCharl otte Corrie\, director of Open Culture\, said: ‘We’re really excited t o be bringing the Summer Arts Market back to St George’s Hall for a four th year.
