DESCRIPTION:Woollen Woods at Speke Hall\nFollowing on from the success of 2
 015’s ‘Pom Poms in the Palm House’ which saw the tropical plants in 
 Sefton Park’s glass house dressed up with crafted creations\, Woollen Wo
 ods is back again! Up For Crafts is teaming up with the National Trust at 
 Speke Hall to transform the Kitchen Garden into a crafter’s paradise. Th
 e theme for the 2016 Merseyside Woollen Woods draws inspiration from the s
 tunning William Morris wallpaper patterns decorating the Victorian interio
 r of the Tudor mansion.\n\nMorris’s designs ‘Daisy’\, ‘Trellis’ 
 and ‘Pomegranate’ offer a wealth of inspiration for Woollen Woods craf
 ters with flowers\, foliage\, fruit\, insects and birds bringing the outsi
 de in\, to the almost 500-year-old hall. William Morris was endlessly insp
 ired by nature and Up For Crafts hopes to bring the inside\, out again wit
 h this heritage-focused craft challenge for Voluntary Arts Week 2016.\n\nY
 ou can take part in Woollen Woods in lots of ways. You could join in with 
 one of our free workshops or you could get crafting at home. Love to knit\
 , felt\, crochet or stitch? Are you part of a local craft group? Why not g
 et making to contribute your skills to Woollen Woods at Speke Hall?\nVisit

 peke Hall in June.
