SUMMARY:Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: Six Objects in Search of An Artist
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by Warrington Museum &amp\; Art Gallery’s eclectic c
ollection\, Michelle Leigh presents a new series of paintings shaped by se
lected objects. The exhibition explores how imagination can reframe what w
e see\, bringing overlooked artefacts into renewed focus.\n\n\nLeigh is an
established painter\, trained at Manchester Polytechnic and Newcastle Uni
versity\, whose work is held in collections in the UK and internationally.
Working across oil\, watercolour and print\, her practice draws on place
and memory\, distilling everyday scenes into evocative\, pared-back images
. Here\, she turns that approach to the museum’s collection\, opening up
new ways of seeing and understanding it.\n\nImage: Michelle Leigh\, Night
