Working on a larger layered project will open up further design possibilities as well as the ability to incor porate several disciplines all at once. Throughout your day we will introd uce you to new methods\, tools\, stencils\, liquid stringers\, metals\, pa ints\, sparkling miccas &\; how to incorporate wire &\; organic elem ents! Please specify if you wish to work on a alternative size*\n\nDay 2/ You will create a 30 x 30cms panel\, bridge or vessel [we have several mol ds to choose from] We will concentrate on achieving a layered design worki ng in between the layers with paint\, frit &\; confetti as well as mani pulating glass noodles to add detail to your work. We will also show you h ow to work with precious metals inc: platinum\, silver &\; gold! This w ill be a great 'sampler' to keep and refer back to showing some of the man y exciting reactions we can achieve in glass . You will also cover a taste r session in Sandblasting creating a mirror design which you can take home on the day! This course will help you look at new dimensions\, materials &\; depths in fused glass elevating your work to a higher standard and understanding\n\nDay 3/ 'Gilding' The application of 23.5 ct Gold &\; S ilver leaf to glass and how to add fine detailing to your work including t ext and shadow with glass engraving methods. You will work on samples firs t before moving onto your panel - Project ready to take home on the day.\n \n+ Bring along 4 glass bottles\, washed with the labels removed. We will show you how to turn these into a fun free standing sculpture or bowl.
