 60***\n\nProgram\n\nIf you enjoy drawing\, would like to work on your skil
 ls or even if you've not done much drawing from observation before and jus
 t want to have a go\, this workshop will inspire you and maybe even help y
 ou discover a hidden talent! Observational drawing is about really looking
  at the world and what better place to start than the Sefton Park Palm Hou
 se. This three hour workshop gives you the opportunity to learn some basic
  techniques to help you draw from observation\, try some different materia
 ls and express what you see through drawing. The workshop is open to peopl
 e of all ages and levels of experience.\n\nThe workshop will include:\n\n 
 	Short introduction about drawing from observation\, what to expect from t
 he workshop and some examples of work by relevant artists for some inspira
 tion.\n 	Introduction to and exercises around measuring\n 	Different drawi
 ng techniques\, e.g. using line only\, using tone only\, cross hatching\, 
 drawing with a rubber.\n 	Experimenting with different materials\, papers 
 and scales.\n 	Group feedback and discussion.\n\nTutor: Catherine Carmylli
 e\n\nCatherine studied textile art at Huddersfield University graduating i
 n 2005 with first class honours. She embarked on a career in the fashion i
 ndustry working and travelling globally\, particularly in Asia. In 2016\, 
 Catherine changed career path and became an artist full time. Understandin
 g drawing to be the cornerstone of all artistic activity\, she regularly a
 ttends drawing class to keep her skills sharp. Her own practice is varied 
 and crosses disciplines of drawing\, painting and textile art. Catherine c
 urrently works towards exhibitions\, art fairs and commissions.\nDates\nSu

  lean on)\, pencils\, eraser and sharpener. We will supply a range of othe
