If you are a beginner\, the course will lead you through the basic principles of drawing and allow you to discover different ways of working\, by instr uction and experimentation. If you’ve already had experience of drawing\ , the exercises will ask you to reconsider the basics and challenge you to try to work in different ways.\nEach week the session will focus on a dif ferent drawing principle or idea for you to consider\, giving you both dir ection and freedom to experiment. Throughout the course you will be encour aged to try using different materials and techniques to discover and devel op your own style. You will explore and learn the basics of drawing such a s line\, form\, tone and composition while being introduced to fun techniq ues.\n\nTutor: Eimear Kavanagh\nBorn in Ireland in 1973\, Eimear studied B A Hons in Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Bretton Hall University o f Leeds\, graduating in 1999. Based in Liverpool\, Eimear works as a mixed media artist with a varied wealth of experience in the arts. Her body of work and previous commissions have taken her to India\, Australia and back to Ireland. She has worked within fashion\, public street art\, textiles\ , illustration\, album cover design\; stage set design\, tattoo art\, scho ols education &\; community workshops.
