 xhibition &amp\; zine launch\nRuairí Valentine and Tom Chachewitz\n\n23rd
 -August-20th September\, open every Saturday\n\nArtist-researchers Ruair
 í Valentine and Tom Chachewitz present an exhibition to launch their new
  collaborative zine\, made in response to themes of the 2025 Independents 
 Biennial. CALL THE CATTLE HOME collects both artists’ intertwined experi
 ences of cultural heritage\, migration and local mythology as they reflect
  on the ways in which we connect to ancestors\, spirits and the land\, her
 e and now. As well as a zine of photos\, collages and text\;  the artists
  also present a new body of work including textiles\, sculpture and sound 
 that chart a line between ancient pasts and modern magick here on the Wirr
 al – including golems made from marine debris\, archive material from th
 e computing coven of Bidston and ephemeral documentation of the Wirral’s
  unique and elusive cryptid\, the Poldie.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout Bidston Obse
 rvatory Artistic Research Centre:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBidston Observatory Artist
 ic Research Centre (BOARC) is a self-organising study site for research\, 
 communality and experimentation.\n\n\n\nIt is not for profit\, and focuses
  on providing a low-cost\, temporary work space for individuals and groups
  so they can to come together and take the time needed to develop their pr
 actices and projects. This can be in the form of nightly stays for up to a
  month\, or day use of the building.\n\n\n\nBOARC welcomes a wide diversit
 y of fields\, such as art\, music and theatre\, to philosophy\, bodywork\,
  social activism\, environmental science\, culture and technology.\n\n\n\n
 Based in a historical landmark\, it is a space where discussion can easily
  flow from the kitchen to the sound recording studio\, and ideas can bounc
 e between the domes and basement workspace.\n\n
