SUMMARY:The Royal Standard: The Royal Standard: Life… Oh Life
DESCRIPTION:Life… Oh Life\n\nOpening night: 24/02/17\, 6-9pm\n25/02/17 -
 26/03/17\nOpen Saturday and Sunday\, and by appointment\n\nAndy Nizinskyj\
nReece Straw\nLucy Vann\n\n“It’s all in the mind. Change your mind\, c
hange your life.” \n\nIf you watch enough motivational videos on YouTube
phases like this will become a well known mantra to you. Imbued with ritu
alistic positivity\, it is so easy to consume the alluring connotations th
ese words convey. Inspired. Motivated. Unable to think twice.\n\nLife… O
h Life aims to unpack how change breeds hysteria. It will analyse anxietie
s old and new\, whilst  emotionally examining feelings of melancholy\, co
ntrasted with euphoria. The exhibition will feature new works by artists L
ucy Vann\, Andy Nizinskyj and Reece Straw. In order to empathetically pres
ent struggle\, the exhibition will have a visible public programme that wi
ll research how we cope\, asking: how we can help one another\, rather tha
n passively consume each other's misery?
