SUMMARY:Road Studios: ROAD Studios: Contour X to X - Su Jng & Ted Oonk
DESCRIPTION:CONTOUR | X TO X\nSu Jung &amp\; Ted Oonk\n\nROAD Studios\, Top
  Floor\, 69 Victoria Street\, L1 6DE Liverpool\n\n\nPrivate View: Thursd
 ay 11th January 6-9pm\nOpen: Friday 12th January - Sunday 28th January\n
 View by appointment\n\nCONTOUR | X to X presents a collaborative project o
f Dutch and Korean artists\, Ted Oonk and Su Jung. Since 2015\, the projec
t has focused and tried to shine a more plural light on the typical romant
ic connotations connected to islands. It mainly consists of written letter
s\, verses\, photographs or video. The material deals with the island as a
n unimportant and forgotten place\, twisting the collective implications o
f utopia. The photographs show a collection of insignificant objects that
have become imaginary artifacts. The text-based pieces describe an nonexis
tent place contrary to utopia\; in the narrative\, the island becomes a sp
ace for digesting a certain loss\, disappearance and absence.\n\nfacebook.
