DESCRIPTION:\nWe are running to our normal schedule of the 3rd Sunday of th
 e month\,\n\nFor those of you who have not been to a Repair Cafè\, this i
 s a mostly free service where you can bring in broken items and get them r
 epaired\, only paying for any parts that are used in the repair.\nYou are 
 welcome to come on the day with an item for repair or to help with the rep
 airs. We can cope with many kinds of repair\, such as electrical and elect
 ronic items\, bikes\, furniture\, computers\, clothes and fabric alteratio
 ns.\n\nYou can make a contribution to your repair here via DoEs Liverpool
 .\n\n\n\nWhy It Matters\n\n\nEnvironmental benefits: Repair cafés help e
 xtend the life of products\, which reduces waste and the need for new reso
 urces and manufacturing. For example\, in the Farnham case they estimated 
 a significant CO₂ saving.\nSkill-sharing &amp\; community building: The
 y provide venues for people to share repair knowledge\, reducing isolation
  and building community ties. The movement links technical fix-skills with
  social connection.\nBehaviour change and culture shift: Repair cafés ch
 allenge the mindset of “if it’s broken\, throw it away\, buy new”. T
 hey promote “fix it\, learn to fix\, reuse” instead.\n\nEconomic/finan
 cial benefits: They help people save money (by repairing rather than repla
 cing) and reduce disposal costs and waste.\n\nWhat Happens at a Repair Caf
 é – Typical Features\nVolunteers (often with backgrounds in electronics
 \, sewing\, woodwork\, mechanical repair) staff stations where visitors br
 ing items. Owners participate\, ask questions\, learn.\nThe items repaired
  vary widely: electrical and electronic goods (radios\, lamps\, small appl
 iances)\, clothing/textiles\, furniture\, jewellery\, toys\, clocks\, etc.
 \nIt’s usually free or based on donations\; the idea is accessibility fo
 r all. Some parts may be charged if needed\, but the labour is volunteer.\
