SUMMARY:Cass Art: Quilling Inspirations - A selection of works by Fellows o
 f the Quilling Guild
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
nQuilling Inspirations - A selection of works by Fellows of the Quilling
  Guild\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates: Wednesday 24th June – Saturd
 ay 4th July 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis
exhibition presents a selection of work by Fellows of the Quilling Guild\
, offering a friendly introduction to what can be achieved using the techn
ique of quilling. The display brings together a mix of simple and more det
ailed pieces\, showing the precision and considered design that can be ach
ieved with rolled paper strips. While some works are small and straightfor
ward\, the overall aim is to inspire people who are new to quilling and to
give a sense of the different directions the craft can take.\n&nbsp\;\n\n
 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuilling is an historica
l papercraft in which narrow strips of paper are rolled\, shaped and glued
to form decorative designs. It is thought to have originated in Europe du
ring the Renaissance period (15th–16th century)\, where it was practised
by nuns and monks\, before becoming popular in Britain in the 18th centur
 y among ‘ladies of leisure’.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Quilling Guild\, formed in 1983\, supports and promotes th
e craft through events\, exhibitions and the sharing of knowledge among pr
 actitioners.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFind out m
