SUMMARY:Open Eye Gallery: Photography Walk With The Royal Institute Of Brit
 ish Architects
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\n£20-15\, Booking required\n\nWe join RIBA North Wes
t for an architectural tour of Liverpool. Lomography cameras and 1 roll of
film provided. Feel free to bring your own equipment.\n\nLiverpool establ
ished its international reputation as the pre-eminent Gateway for shipping
\, trade and the movement of people leaving one continent to find new live
s in another. The city that was created to service this exchange is rich i
n its buildings\, streets and public spaces. Many of these have changed us
e since they were originally built helping to create the vibrant modern Li
verpool that exists today. The tour puts a spotlight on key buildings and
public spaces\, using them to tell the story of Liverpool's past\, present
and future.\n\nLomography started out as a spontaneous artistic approach
to photography in the Vienna underground scene. On the one hand\, analogue
photography is traditional\; it's got an amazing history which stretches
back a couple of hundred years. But film photography also opens up all kin
ds of real-time experimental possibilities\; you can use techniques such a
 s multiple exposures\, sprocket-hole photography and cross-processing to g
et artistic and beautiful effects. You can't see your photos until they've
been developed but that's part of the fun\; analogue photography encourag
es you to embrace each moment and get creative!\n\nTo book your place plea
