Observational drawing is about really looking at the world and what better place to start than the Sefton Park Palm House. This three ho ur workshop gives you the opportunity to learn some basic techniques to he lp you draw from observation\, try some different materials and express wh at you see through drawing. The workshop is open to people of all ages and levels of experience.\n\nThe day will include:\n\n Short introduction ab out drawing from observation\, what to expect from the workshop and some e xamples of work by relevant artists for some inspiration.\n Introduction to and exercises around measuring\n Different drawing techniques\, e.g. u sing line only\, using tone only\, cross hatching\, drawing with a rubber. \n Experimenting with different materials\, papers and scales.\n Group f eedback and discussion.\n\nTutor: Eimear Kavanagh\nBorn in Ireland in 1973 \, Eimear studied BA Hons in Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Bretto n Hall University of Leeds\, graduating in 1999. Based in Liverpool\, Eime ar works as a mixed media artist with a varied wealth of experience in the arts. Her body of work and previous commissions have taken her to India\, Australia and back to Ireland. She has worked within fashion\, public str eet art\, textiles\, illustration\, album cover design\; stage set design\ , tattoo art\, schools education &\; community workshops.
