SUMMARY:OUTPUT Gallery: OUTPUT: Donal Maloney
DESCRIPTION:Donal Moloney\nMarch 27 - April 9\nDonal Moloney was born in Co
rk and lives and works in Liverpool. His work has been exhibited widely\,
including the 2016 John Moore’s Painting Prize. Donal’s work teeters o
n the borderline between representation and abstraction. Overwhelmingly co
mplex and colourful\, his works reduce trinkets and gemstones to indefinab
le elements in an expansive\, glittering surface\, reflecting a long-stand
ing interest in painted depictions of reflected light.\n\nFor his OUTPUT p
ostal exhibition\, Donal has created a large-scale drawing which will be d
ivided into 100 smaller sections\, each available as an individual work. T
he abstracted\, gestural lines spring from his painted works\, building on
their sense of density and movement\, with a minimal colour palette inspi
red by CMYK printing processes. The postal exhibition format will see the
work scattered across a large geographical area\, creating chance connecti
ons between recipients\, and suggesting the poetic possibility that one da
y the large work could be reassembled.\n\nIf you would like to receive one
of these works\, please follow this link and enter your details:\n\nhttps
 ://forms.gle/TmrDF26uM5tvw2Xf7\n\nOUTPUT's postal exhibitions are delivere
d straight to your door at no cost. These limited edition pieces are distr
 ibuted on a first-come\, first-served basis. If you miss out\, don't worry
  - there are many more postal exhibitions coming soon.\n\nListen to our po
dcast interview with the artist or read a transcription here.
