 \n\nBOOK HERE\n\n\n\n\nStephanie Francis-Shanahan is interested in joy\, a
 nd how we can use it as a form of resistance to keep ourselves well. Befor
 e lockdown\, she had started a series inviting people to come to her room\
 , dress up in her wardrobe and dance to their favourite song whilst she do
 cumented it. Now\, she’s inviting you to submit a 30-second video of you
  in your own home\, which she’ll mix into a new work\, ‘if we can't al
 l dance\, I don't wanna be a part of ur world :))))’\, to be broadcast o
 n 27th August.\n\nHere’s how to take part:\n\n“Before lockdown\, I had
  started a series inviting people to come to my room\, dress up in my ward
 robe and dance to their favourite song whilst I documented it. Of course\,
  this series had to stop and I wanted to figure out a way to capture this 
 spirit. Additionally\, having attended the London Black Lives Matter prote
 sts and witnessing such a mass of collective joy as resistance\, it furthe
 r reinforces my belief in the importance of dance and the need for our cre
 ative spaces to be shared and used collectively. I would like to invite yo
 u to be a part of this digital exploration of collective joy and movement 
 by following the instructions below:\n\n-record 30 seconds of you dancing 
 in your bedrooms and state at the beginning the artist and title of the so
 ng you have chosen\n\n-please feel free to dress up in whatever way makes 
 you feel most comfortable (glam/trackies/fancy dress etc is all good)\n\n-
 it can be recorded either portrait or landscape on whatever you are able t
 o record on\, camera quality is not important here just being able to see 
 you enjoy yourself :)\n\n-send it via wetransfer to s.francis-shanahan0620

 be a tool of inciting joy\, enabling us to be strong and continue momentum
  for our long battle ahead for social change.”\n\nStephanie also encoura

 r UK: a project to connect Black individuals and families in the UK with f
