SUMMARY:Open Eye Gallery: Open Eye Gallery: H(u)MAN
DESCRIPTION:Art exhibition - One night only @ OPEN EYE GALLERY \n7/02/19
\n\nUp North Arts (UNA) is a collective formed of Contemporary Arts studen
ts at Lancaster University. The student-led collective organises exhibitio
ns and events across the North West of England\, showing a broad range of
artistic practices. UNA encourage the individuality and personal growth of
each of their members and aims to create opportunities for artists in the
early stages of their career. Their work reflects the diversity of the gr
oup and focuses on issues of contemporary life and art. With artists worki
ng in sculpture\, performance\, painting and other practices\, every show
is unique.\n\nThe curation of H(U)MAN has been inspired by Open Eye's curr
ent exhibition\, Wake Up Together. Reflecting on themes of what it is to b
e human in contemporary times\, the event shows artwork which challenges v
arious topics surrounding the human experience such as sexuality\, gender\
, modern communication\, memory\, and feminism.\n\nUNA are returning to Li
verpool after their previous exhibition\, ‘Concrete Picnic’ which took
place in Camp and Furnace and The Baltic Social in 2017.\n\nhttps://www.f
