DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nMaking Political Theatre with Communities\n\n\nMarch 20 a
 t 10:30 am - 4:30 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis full day workshop combines pres
 entations from tutors\, peer-action-learning and practical exercises\, whi
 ch will:\n\n 	introduce diverse approaches to making collaborative theatre
 \, illustrated with national and international case studies\n 	explore the
  practical and ethical challenges of making excellent theatre in community
  contexts\n 	introduce the practicalities of co-creation and explore the e
 thics of making political art with marginalised individuals and groups.\n\
 nWho is it aimed at?\n\nThis workshop is aimed particularly at artists wor
 king in communities\, theatre makers\, activists interested in using theat

 or of Collective Encounters. She established the company in 2004 to make e
 xciting\, collaborative theatre and explore its potential to contribute to
  social change. Her work with the company has drawn on her varied backgrou
 nd which over the past 20 years has included applied work in diverse comm
 unity contexts\, devising and directing professional theatre\, university 
 lecturing and practice-as-research.\n\nPrevious participants on this train
