Although there will be some revision of these techniques\, p articipants must already have a working knowledge of:\n\n\n how and why t o select different apertures\n how and why to select different shutter sp eeds\n how to use manual exposure and manual focus\n how and why to use ISO\, White Balance and Exposure Compensation controls.\n\nThis course wil l concentrate on:\n\n\n developing further confidence in controlling the camera to achieve specific results\n improving composition\n improving u nderstanding and control of exposure.\n\nDuring the course participants wi ll be asked to take pictures on particular themes or using particular tech niques and to share these for group discussion and review as an additional aid to learning.\nTo register for this course you should have your own di gital camera which allows you to manually control exposure\, aperture\, sh utter speed\, ISO (sensitivity) and focus. Your camera should also have a zoom lens or a several lenses of different focal lengths.\nTutor: Mark Ree ves\nThe tutor is Wirral-based photographer Mark Reeves. Mark has been a p hotographer for many years\, having worked with both film and digital proc esses. He has worked as a photo-journalist with work published in national newspapers and specialist magazines. In 2014 he was runner-up in the urba n section of the prestigious Landscape Photographer of the Year award.
