 n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday 1 &amp\; Saturday 2 November\n\n5pm – 9pm\n\nFREE 
 event\n\nDeep in the water of New Brighton’s Marine Lake\, something is 
 stirring.\n\nIn days of old\, on a remote and fragile part of the Wirral s
 horeline\, a group of brave sailors went searching for the beating heart o
 f a mythical sea creature. They called him Monty the Mersey Monster.\n\nAn
 d now in darkest November\, the Friends of New Brighton Marine Lake have r
 esumed this search. As the mist rises on the horizon and waves crash again
 st the sea wall\, they might just find a river monster\, lurking below the
  deep waters of New Brighton.\n\nAfter centuries of slumber\, this fiery d
 ragon is returning home in a spectacular blaze.\n\nJoin the quest and be d
 azzled by this exciting display of light and colour\, with three chances t
 o see Monty each evening and a special performance by the Friends of New B
 righton Marine Lake.\nThis is a chance to also meet incredible community o
 rganisations along the promenade\, like Wirral Environmental Network who a
 re championing our natural world and sustainable living among Wirral’s r
 esidents and communities.\nThis event is inspired by the true legend of Mo
 nty the Mersey Monster\, named in 1207 by Sir Percival Montangle.\n\n\n\n\
 n\n\n\nPerformance times\n\n5.30pm - Monty the Mersey Monster\n\n6pm - Fri
 ends of New Brighton Marine Lake\n\n7pm - Monty the Mersey Monster\n\n8.30
 pm - Monty the Mersey Monster\n\nEach Monty the Mersey Monster performance
  lasts approximately 30 minutes.\n\nMonty the Mersey Monster is commission
 ed by Wirral Borough of Culture 2024 and produced by outdoor art experts 
 Walk the Plank.\n\nPlease note that all timings are subject to change and 
 the event is weather dependent. We recommend checking Wirral Council socia
