 kills in life drawing\, including accurate measuring\, shading and drawing

 £125 for 6 week course.\n\nSuitable for both newcomers / beginners and fo
 r those continuing from previous courses\, as the tutor will tailor the ma
 terial to individual participants.\n\nProgramme:\n\nThe course is aimed at
  adults of any age\, both beginners and the more advanced\, who want to di
 rectly work from a human model or still life.\n\nThere will be a human mod
 el for most of the sessions\, performing very short\, short\, and long pos
 es giving the students a chance to practice drawing at various speeds. We 
 also will make use of still life and/or sculpture as well as printed pictu
 res to practice on specific skills.\n\nThe main method that is taught and 
 practiced in the course is the traditional “stick measurement” and “
 sight-size drawing method”. However\, the following topics will be cover
 ed throughout the course:\n\n- The sight-size method versus the comparativ
 e method of drawing\n\n- Using alignments\, angles\, relative proportions\
 , and cross points in figure drawing\n\n- Postural drawing and quick drawi
 ng\n\n- Human body proportions\n\n- Shades and values\n\n- Foreshortening\
 n\n- Using a grid\n\n- Using a proportional divider\n\nDates:\n\nWednesday

  and check stock here.\n\n- Sketching paper\, at least at A3 size\, eithe
 r in a hardback pad or as loose paper sheets. If you are getting loose pap
 er sheets you will need a drawing board for support. You can find good qua
 lity pads at very reasonable prices in “The Works” and “Cass Art”.
 \n\n- Selection of graphite pencils – H's and B’s (eg. H2\, HB\, 2B\, 
 6B)\n\n- Masking tape for taping your paper onto the drawing board\n\n- Ru
 bber (soft - a kneadable eraser is preferable) and pencil sharpener\n\nRec
 ommended but not essential\n\n- Portable easel\n\nImportant note: please d
