 TE: THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE AT\nVICTORIA GALLERY &amp\; MUSEUM\n\nA day of 
 conversations around artistic and academic exchange between the UK and Chi
 na. We’ll talk through what makes successful collaborations\, looking at
  how to foster good relationships and create meaningful work together.\n\n
 Contributions from the British Council\, Arts Council England\, Open Eye G
 allery\, University of Salford Art Collection\, Centre for Contemporary Ch
 inese Art and Frieze as well as presentations by artists working between t
 he UK and China. This seminar aims to be a site for critical and imaginati
 ve discussion\, as well as a site on which to build connections.\n\nThis s
 eminar is free and open to everyone. It is useful for anyone interested in
  art\, academia and international exchange\, especially those looking to b
 uild platforms for cultural collaboration between the UK and China.\n\nThe
 re will also be the opportunity to see Liz Hingley’s newly opened ‘Sha
 nghai Sacred’\, installed on a bamboo scaffolding structure made by Chen

 iz Hingley.\n 	Francesca Girelli — Editor at Frieze &amp\; Arthub Asia\
 , sharing the importance of contextual writing in developing an Artist’s
  profile.\n 	Derek Man – Photographer\, working with the Cantonese-spea
 king community in Liverpool’s Chinatown\, the oldest in Europe.\n 	Paul 
 Herman — Director of Redeye\, the Photographer’s Network.\n 	Jamie Wy
 lde – Founder of videoclub\, a platform for artist’s films.\n\n14:00 
 – 15:00: One-to-ones with all speakers.\n\n 	All speakers will be availa
 ble for questions/discussion about how to make connections\n\nFINISH\n\nLO
 OK Photo Biennial 2019 takes place across Liverpool\, The Wirral\, the wid
 er North West and in Shanghai. It is delivered by Open Eye Gallery\, and f
 unded by Arts Council England\, Liverpool City Council and The Foyle Found
 ation. It is delivered in partnership with Wirral Borough of Culture\, Uni
 versity of Salford Art Collection\, Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art an
 d Redeye. Venue partners include Victoria Gallery &amp\; Museum\, Museum o
 f Liverpool\, Williamson Gallery &amp\; Museum\, and the University of Cen
 tral Lancashire. Further funding support comes from Spectrum and Colloids.
