 E\n\nThis event has been organised to raise the profile of care leavers in
  society and widen the opportunities for care leavers in Higher Education.
 \n\nLiverpool John Moores University is committed to helping more care lea
 vers go to university and offers a John Lennon Imagine Award of £1\,000 p
 er year to encourage care leavers into Higher Education. 93% of students r
 eceiving the Imagine Award stated that they would not have found it easy t
 o have successfully completed this year without the help of our Care Leave
 rs Coordinator.\n\nLiverpool School of Art &amp\; Design will host a free 
 event for care leavers and their families. This is also open to the public
 . This will include:\n\n11.00am Keynote Talk by Lemn Sissay\n\nLemn Sissay
  is a poet\, writer\, artist and educator. His sculpture poem Gilt of Cain
  was unveiled by Bishop Desmond Tutu. He has written plays for stage and B
 BC radio.  He is the first poet to write for the London olympics and rece
 ived an MBE from the Queen for Services to Literature. He is associate art
 ist at the Southbank Centre\, and the current Chancellor of the University
  of Manchester. As a care leaver himself\, Lemn champions care leavers and
  their contribution to society.\n\n2.00pm GLUE – Louise Wallwein\n\nA o
 ne-woman show mixing monologue\, live art and a sound score Glue tells the
  true story of Louise Wallwein and her first two meetings with her birth m
 other\, three decades after being put up for adoption. The audience is inv
 ited to share a very private first reunion\, but also the subsequent more 
 public second meeting. Louise also grew up in care from the age of nine an
 d shows both her fierce independence and emotional vulnerability alongside
  each other. Born\, transferred\, placed\, discharged\, returned… Suita
 ble for over 16s.\n\nLiverpool School of Art &amp\; Design tours and Exhib
