DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 1 February\, FACT (Foundation for Art and Creativ
 e Technology) and Deep Hedonia are delighted to present a live performan
 ce by two of the most exciting female producers changing the face of elect
 ronic music today: London-based sound sculptress Nik Colk Void and experim
 ental Swedish composer\, Klara Lewis\, at the Liverpool Philharmonic.\n\n\
 nKnown for her industrial disco outfit Factory Floor\, Nik Colk Void harne
 sses the technique’s hypnotic force to create a new kind of primal\, min
 imal dance music. Alternative\, spontaneous and improvisational\, Void has
  very quickly established her solo practice as a challenging\, vibrant mix
 ture of art and sound\, and her reputation as a master of cross-arts colla
 boration.\n\nCritically acclaimed Lewis\, with her signature explorations 
 of field recordings\, electronics\, rhythm\, sound and atmosphere\, is ins
 pired by an eclectic mix of artists like James Brown\, Aphex Twin and Port
 ishead. These diverse influences flow into offerings enriched by grainy so
 nic textures\, unexpected melodies\, and abstract landscapes.\n\nPlease fi

 ogramme for the new group exhibition No Such Thing As Gravity\, exploring 
 the nature of scientific truth\, open until 5 February at FACT.\n\nThis p

 ops at FACT which focus on the demystification of technology for young wom
 en\, teaching technological skills for music-making. \n
