 Train Stations. Exhibition part of Open Wall’s Arts Project Backed by Li
 verpool City Council to bring people in the City.\n 	Liverpool from 12 to 
 19 October 2020\n\nCelebrated British photographer Rory Lewis will exhibit
  a previously unseen body of work from 12 to 19 October 2020 portraits wil
 l be displayed on JCDecaux screens in all of Liverpool’s mainline Train 
 Stations.\n\nEntitled Selah\, the collection is inspired by the Hebrew wor
 d\, which appears throughout the Book of Psalms. Its precise meaning is my
 sterious\, but it is interpreted as a pause to breathe and reflect.\n\nWin
 ner of the 2020 Portrait of Britain Award\, Rory Lewis is a dedicated port
 raitist who has spent 15 years capturing many of the world’s most recogn
 ised faces. Several of his iconic portraits have been acquired by the Nati
 onal Portrait Gallery in London.\n\nAccording to Lewis\, Selah’s foundat
 ions are in counter-reformation art. “I have been greatly influenced by 
 Renaissance Italian art in my portraiture\, such as the work of the Old Ma
 sters including Rembrandt\, Caravaggio\, Titian and\, in particular\, Ribe
 ra. With Selah\, I have attempted to faithfully recreate the light\, atmos
 phere and tones of classical portrait paintings. It has been my aim throug
 hout the project to reproduce meditative religious scenes\, directing my s
 ubjects to capture the highest moment of drama\,” explains Lewis.\n\nThe
  exhibition will feature portraits of actors and personalities from both t
 he UK and USA\, including James Purefoy\, Dame Judy Dench\, James Cromwell
 \, Sir Patrick Stewart\, Sir Ian McKellen\, Ciarán Hinds\, Tony Amendola\
 , Peter Van Norden\, Tess Harper\, Natalie Dormer\, Mark Margolis\, Anthon
 y McPartlin\, Declan Donnelly\, and many more.\n\nSelah | The Exhibition i
 s presented in association with Liverpool City Council\, Arts Council Fund
