SUMMARY:Liverpool Central Library: Liverpool Central Library: Art\, Science
  and Creativity: Book Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Liverpool Book Art is delighted to present the book art exhibit
ion ‘Art\, Science and Creativity’ at Liverpool’s spectacular Centra
l Library.\n\nThe exhibition is inspired by various statements by Albert E
instein\, highlighting the fact that creativity is central to explorations
in both art and science. And as we wonder\, and attempt to understand the
universe and ourselves\, categories can\, and perhaps should\, become blu
rred. Distinctions can be both valuable and problematic: 'art' versus 'sci
ence'\, 'nature' versus 'human'\, 'natural' versus 'supernatural'\, 'mater
ial' versus 'spiritual'\, 'secular' versus 'religious' and so on.\n\nThirt
y artists have been selected to participate. The majority are UK-based\, w
ith family and cultural roots embracing Poland\, Spain\, Romania\, Russia\
, Finland and the USA. There will be nearly 40 works in the show\, includi
ng newly-created works responding to the exhibition theme\, and existing r
elevant works. The artists use an enormous range of approaches and techniq
ues\, including various types of printmaking\, handmade paper\, clay\, lat
ex\, laser cuts and collage\, as well as various bookbinding and stitching
  techniques.
