It will offer a flexible appr oach to understanding the face taking into account structural and observat ional techniques.\n\nWe will work from a variety of references: photograph ic\, life and by studying work by the masters of portraiture.\n\nWe will c over themes such as:\n\n Introduction\n Line drawing\n Understanding li ght and shade\n Using different drawing media\n The anatomy and structur e of the face.\n The face from different angles\n Working from life\n C haracter and emotion\n Composition\n Understanding the features of the f ace\n\nTutor: Kathy Dereli\n\nKathy is trained in traditional techniques i n drawing and sculpture which she uses to create well-crafted artworks wit h a modern sensibility.
