 s oldest continuously running amateur art club\, Liver Skethching Club\, t
 utor Peter Holland will guide you through the fundamentals of drawing in d
 ifferent mediums. Whether you're a beginner or just looking to brush up on
  your skills\, this is a great course to help you boost your creativity wi
 th other art enthusiasts. See you there!\n\nSince there will be life model
 s in some of the lessons\, it will only be suitable for adults (18+).\n\nT
 he Course will cover these subjects:\n1) the head and face\,\n2) the body 
 (basic anatomy)\,\n3) hands and feet\,\n4) a little on fabrics and their f
 olds and draping\,\n5) a little on formal perspective\, which can be appli
 ed to anything (interiors\, exteriors\, and objects)\, and abstracted form
 s.\n\nIt will cover different common materials:\nMonochrome:\n- graphite p
 encils\,\n- chalk and charcoal\,\n- ink.\nColour:\n- colour pencils\,\n- p
 astels\,\n- working on white and coloured backgrounds.\nMiscellaneous:\n- 
 sharpening\,\n- erasing.\n\nVarious techniques:\n- things like your body p
 osture and tool grip when drawing\,\n- things to practice as homework to i
 mprove skills\,\n- measurement\,\n- working at different scales\,\n- shadi
 ng\,\n- speed\, pressure\, and varying mark making\,\n- modes of thinking 
 and seeing.\n\nAnd Classic drawing fundamentals such as:\n- Line\n- Shape\
 n- Tonal Value\n- Colour theory\n\nThe aim is to cover a robust set of met
 hods\, techniques and thought processes to give you a solid practical grou
 nding in drawing.\n\nMaterials you will need to bring: Participants will b
 ring in their own materials (easels and drawing boards are available in th
 e studio). The list of recommeded materials will be sent after the booking
  is confirmed.\n\nNote: the maximum number of participants are 12. Booking
 s are on a first come first served basis.\n\nCancellations / Refunds:\nSin
 ce the course is limited to just 12 spaces\, cancellations close to the st
 art date may result in places not being able to be filled\, or the course 
 not being able to run. Therefore\, we would highly appreciate if you could
  inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend. Full refunds a
 vailable up to two weeks before the start date\, i.e.\, Sunday 10th March 
 2024. After March 10th\, we cannot offer refunds regardless of the reason 
 for cancellation\, such as illness\, personal or professional commitments\
 , or a change of mind\, as it will be close enough to the start date that 
 finding someone to fill the position might be difficult or impossible\, wh
 ich could risk the course not being able to run for the other attendees. H
 owever\, if you do wish to cancel after March 10th\, and you know someone 
 who can take your place\, we can accommodate their substitution.
