SUMMARY:St George's Hall: LightNight 2019 - St George's Hall: Hidden Elemen
 ts
DESCRIPTION:HIDDEN ELEMENTS\n18:00 – 22:00\nSt George's Hall\nFamily Frie
ndly\, Performance\n\nLiverpool Empire Youth Musical Theatre Company prese
nts Hidden Elements\, exploring the concept of performance as ritual. You
will be invited into a world that you wouldn’t usually have access to\,
and given a glimpse of the aspects of performance that are ordinarily conc
ealed.\n\nWhat happens either side of a performance – before the curtain
rises and the lights go down? How often do we see actors apply their stag
e makeup and step into their costumes? Yet they do this\, without fail\, e
ach time they perform\; it is a ritual.\n\nFrom the vocal warm ups and bod
y stretches to the line learning and soul searching\, there is so much mor
e to performance than what is presented on stage. Join the Company as they
put some of the hidden elements of performance under the spotlight\, rais
ing the curtain on what happens backstage and in the rehearsal room to cre
 ate performance itself.\n\nMore: http://lightnightliverpool.co.uk/whats-on
