 esign’s MA Art in Science programme presents the superheroes ‘Shark Gi
 rl’ and ‘Komodo Dragon’ versus the evil ‘Superbugs’ in the Antim
 icrobial Avengers!\n\nArts-Lab is a collection of researchers who are inte
 rested in sharing scientific knowledge through art\, and The Art in Scienc
 e programme provides exciting opportunities for artists and scientists to 
 collaborate and explore the boundaries of art and science. As a collaborat
 ive team\, they invite you to explore antimicrobial resistance through com
 ics and superheroes.\n\nDid you know that a shark’s skin can prevent bac
 teria from sticking to it? Or that the blood of a Komodo dragon is a natur
 al antimicrobial compound? The joint artist in residence has been working 
 with researchers and school students across Liverpool to create comics foc
 used on current antimicrobial research and the fight against bacterial and
  viral superbugs.\n\nYou’ll meet the Antimicrobial Avengers\, and there 
 will be hands-on activities to allow you to help the team draw and create 
 the endings to three comics featuring Shark Girl and Komodo Dragon. You ca
 n also touch and feel sculptures of animals such as geckos that have antim
