SUMMARY:Constellations: LightNight 2019 - Constellations: Donna Summer Feve
 r
DESCRIPTION:DONNA SUMMER FEVER\n17:00 – 22:00\n\nConstellations\n\nLightN
ight Commission\n\nArtist collective Projectile Vomit draw on the traditio
ns of the old Gaelic festival of Beltane\, one of four seasonal festivals
which traditionally took place between the spring equinox and the summer s
olstice to create a ‘made up pagan ritual for the modern day’.\n\nEver
y year\, disco fans from around the world gather in Liverpool to mark the
anniversary of the death of Queen of Disco Donna Summer\, and to entreat h
er to give us a good summer through a centuries-old ritual involving celeb
ration\, feasting\, dancing and sacrifice. This year\, LightNight coincide
s with this anniversary (the time when Donna’s spirit will be most recep
tive to the corporeal world).\n\nIn accordance with her hit song ‘Summer
Fever’\, Projectile Vomit erect an audio-visual shrine that will provid
e focus for our collective disco energies and attempt to induce a Donna Su
mmer Fever to appease the Queen and ensure good weather in the months ahea
 d.\n\nMore: http://lightnightliverpool.co.uk/whats-on/donna-summer-fever/
