SUMMARY:Liverpool Town Hall: LightNight 2018: Liverpool Town Hall: Orlando
DESCRIPTION:ORLANDO\n18:00 - 19:35\n\nLiverpool Town Hall\n\nPerformance\n\
nSmall Ballroom\n\nEVENTHORIZON’s meta-fictional sequel to Virginia Wool
f’s classic examination of gender transports Orlando to a savage\, moder
n age. Haunted by heartbreak\, Orlando must now confront the complexities
of desire in a dark and devastatingly comic tale of sex\, identity and lov
 e in the twenty-first century.\n\nAn intimate play exposing binary-breakin
g ideals in an unapologetic\, transformative new work. Woolf’s masterpie
ce transformed early twentieth-century societal conventions. Debating sexu
ality\, identity\, aging and gender\, this reimagining places Orlando in a
n emotionally desolate modern world\, until her/his passions are reawakene
d to the possibilities it might hold\, unpicking Woolf’s classic from a
 twenty-first century perspective.\n\neventhorizontheatre.com\n\n18:00 –
