 Dock\, spoken word artistry from Writing on the Wall\, a ten-year retrospe
 ctive from North End Writers\, a Silent Disco (Silent Disco TBC ) and a wo
 rkshop from Brouhaha plus special performances from Southport Strings\, In
  Harmony\, The Holy Ground\, Black Entrails and more. Also includes a BBQ 
 on the café terrace.\n\nNorth End Writers: 10 Years On\, 17:00 – 19:00\
 n\nThe grass-roots creative writing charity\, North End Writers\, celebrat
 es 10 years with readings that incorporate their anniversary and respond
  to the theme of Time.  Readings include work from various publications 
 of North End Press including The Accent (2007) magazine through to poems a
 nd short fiction from the innovative writing and well-being projects Livi
 ng Room\,  Writing Well-Writing Green\, Liverpool Elegies\, Poet-in-Resid
 ence project (Mersey Care) and writing and heritage project 100 Pictures-1
 00 Pages.  \n\nThe celebration also brings together members of the North
  End Writers Community group and Mossley Hill Writing group as well as pro
 fessional writers who have contributed to the charity’s first ten years.
 \n\n4th Floor\n\nDancing Through the Ages 18:00\, 19:15 &amp\; 20:15\nTake
  a 10 minute journey with Sophie Taylor and others through the decades of 
 dance in musicals. All your favourites performed within a microcosm of tim
 e\, choreographed by Andrew McKay.\n\nA graduate of LIPA\, Andrew is a loc
 al performer and creative and recently choreographed ‘Shout! The Mod Mus
 ical’ at the Liverpool Royal Court Theatre. Sophie Taylor\, a graduate o
 f Merseyside Dance &amp\; Drama Centre\, has worked across the North of En
 gland and was a performer during the build up for the Olympics in London.\

 ance of newly composed and specially selected pieces by Liverpool-based co
 mposers and musicians around the notion of Time\; exploring the experience
  of listening\, the memory of melodies\, cultural interpretation of time a
 nd its relation to scientific definition.\n\nGround Floor – Atrium\n\nMa
 de Invaders: Race against the Aliens! 20:00 – 22:00\nA live action arcad
 e style computer game in life size! With 15 light up animated sprite targe
 ts ready to test your skills. Play alone\, or as a team competing for the 
 highest score of the night.\n\nGround Floor\n\nScottie Road Writers\, 20:0
 0 – 22:00\n\nScottie Road Writers will once again entertain and enthral 
 all visitors who would like to take a little time-out. Hear a collection 
 of stories based around the theme of Time\, read by the authors and invite
 d readers. Join in for a couple of hours of murder\, mirth and magical im
 aginings.\n\nSecond Floor\n\nLiverpool Sings\, 21:00 – 22:00\nDo you lov
 e to sing? Join this new initiative spearheaded by Sense of Sound’s Jenn
 ifer John and learn a new a cappella song with lots of uplifting harmonies
  in celebration of collective voices. Whether an experienced singer or som
 eone who is new to singing\, all are invited to join in. There’s no time
  like the present!\n\nPicton Reading Room\n\nFrom Young to Old\, 18:15 
 – 19:00 &amp\; 19:45 – 20:30\n\nStep backwards and forwards in musical
  time with popular festival regulars Southport Strings Youth Orchestra.\n\

 nces by Alandalus dance company exploring the traditions of flamenco as an

 ed art work around the library and solve time-related clues to win one of 
 the pictures and a voucher for afternoon tea for two in the library café.

 p of Time\, 19:00 – 20:00\n\nThe Black Entrails put the poems of Emily 
 Dickinson to music\; taking various elements of avant-garde music and tran
 sposing it into a new style which encompasses medieval music\, musique con
 crete and even shades of indie and world music too.\n\nHornby Library\n\nH
 armonic Half Hour\, 20:00 – 21:00\n\nYoung musicians from Liverpool Phi
 lharmonic’s In Harmony programme explore the connections between time an
 d music with some of their favourite pieces.\n\nGround Floor – Discover\
 n\nPassed down the Generations\, 20:00 – 21:00\n\nTraditional folk musi
 c focusing on time from local duo Harper-Dunwoody.\n\nGround Floor – Atr

 ar evening of poetry and spoken word art exploring Liverpool’s past\, pr
 esent and future with Writing on the Wall. Hosted by Pangaea International
  Slam winner 2015 Ciarán Hodgers and featuring an exhibition of the libra
 ry’s amazing archives\, there’s something for everyone.\n\nFourth Floo
 r\n\nMade Invaders – Race against the Aliens! 20:00 – 22:00\n\nMade I
 nvaders is a live action arcade style computer game only life size! With 
 15 light up\, animated sprite targets stand ready for you to test your ski
 lls. Using foam dart guns see how many targets you can hit in in 30 second
 s to get the highest score for the night.\n\nUsing mainly Arduino-compatib
 les and Raspberry Pi’s this is a perfect example of what can be achieved
  by the maker community and the type of technology that’s now accessible
  to everyone\, to create their own imaginative project.\n\nGround Floor\n\
 nTime for Carnival\, 20:00 – 22:00\n\nExplore the tradition of carnival
  in these hands on workshops from Brouhaha International. Come and make yo
 ur own Carnival costume or headdress. All ages welcome!\n\nGround Floor\n\
 nRewind Fast Forward\, 20:00 – 22:00\n\nFrom DJ to VJ\, film-maker Sand
 i Hughes and Sam Meech of Re-Dock perform a live AV set remixing footage f
 rom Sandi’s own archive of films of Liverpool’s queer scene and black 
 communities in the 1970s and 80s that is then projection mapped onto the i
 conic and much loved brick tiles on the first floor\, creating a rich audi
 ovisual collage.\n\nFirst Floor\n\nHoly Ground\, 20:15 – 22:15\n\nTime 
 is an aspect of our lives we all take for granted. The Holy Ground follows
  a 1950s couple’s journey from the rural west coast of Ireland to the ci
 ty suburbs of Liverpool in search of work and a better life\; experienced 
 through live music\, hanging placards and pre-recorded\, audio-only verbat
 im narrative.\n\nThis piece is constructed from personal family stories\, 
 interviews from the Liverpool Irish Centre and the local Irish community.\
