SUMMARY:: LightNight 2017: Light Field
DESCRIPTION:LIGHT FIELD\n21:00 – 23:00 Ropewalks Square\nPerformance\, St
 reets\n\nRopewalks Square\nL1 4HY\n\nMore here\n\nLight Field\, a collabor
 ation between sound artist Bill Thompson and dance artist Saffy Setohy\, i
 s an evolving\, inter-related constellation of people\, light\, sound and
 movement.\n\nLight Field invites people to both become and activate the in
 stallation through simple instructions which generate an emergent choreogr
 aphy of elements. Lo-fi kinetically powered sound and light objects\, and
 a field of gently glowing beacons\, create a playful off-grid environment.
   Visually captivating\, with a subtle sound score made of the sound of l
 ight and Natural Radio\, this work philosophically and practically conside
 rs light\, darkness and energy within the ebb and flow of people in the Li
 ght Field microcosm.\n\nLight Field began in 2015 in the context of Artcop
  Scotland\, Artcop21 and the UNESCO Year of Light.
