SUMMARY:Shakespeare North Playhouse: Leap Dance Festival Scratch at Shakesp
 eare North
DESCRIPTION:Three new dance works in development\, created for Leap 2026:\n
\nTaciturn | Women Holding Things  \n\nIn the rhythm of everyday life\,
their hands gather the things that keep the world moving. They carry the q
uiet responsibility of nurturing and sustaining the spaces where life unfo
lds. Within them rests a living archive of memories\, joys\, griefs and ho
pes. In their care\, love becomes both weight and strength\, something hel
d gently yet carried forward. \n\nC(P)LAY | Price of Silence\n\nWhat happ
ens to the body when adapting and complying become the only way to maintai
n stability within a relationship?\n\nPrice of Silence examines the subtle
and often invisible pressures that exist within unequal relationships. In
many situations from intimate partnerships to wider social structures\, s
tability is maintained through constant adjustment\, and this adaptation i
s rarely shared equally.\n\nOlena Hrabchak | Canvas of Becoming \n\nCanva
s of Becoming is a symbolic exploration of personal growth and self-libera
tion. The dancer’s white costume represents openness and possibility. Wh
at begins as beauty evolves into visual and physical burden.\n\nProduced b
y Chaos Arts CIC for Leap Dance Festival.\n\nPart of Leap Dance Festival 2
 026.
