DESCRIPTION:Figure Drawing Workshops\n\nThis Spring\, artist Harry Garner i
 s returning to Kirkby Gallery to run a series of clothed figure drawing wo
 rkshops. The five sessions are individually themed and self-contained. You
  can participate in all of them or just attend one or two. Catering for al
 l levels of ability\, from complete beginner to experienced artist\, you w
 ill guided through a range of drawing methods and techniques whilst being 
 encouraged to develop your own style. Our clothed model sitters will enabl
 e you to practice drawing from life. Drawing materials and paper will be a
 vailable\, or you are welcome to use your own preferred sketching equipmen
 t. Tea\, coffee and biscuits will be provided for your refreshment.\n\nTra
 ditional Life Drawing\nFriday 7 March\, 10.30am to 12.30pm\nA traditional 
 taught life drawing class that will incorporate a range of poses. We will 
 introduce and explore ways to simplify the figure to its most extreme shap
 es\, and measure the figure to confirm accuracy in our drawing.\n\nLight a
 nd Shadow\nFriday 14 March\, 10.30am to 12.30pm\nThe focus of this life dr
 awing class will be on how to capture light and dark in your drawings. It 
 will be a fun and useful class with some great alternative and experimenta
 l techniques to try.\n\nDoing Lines\nFriday 21 March\, 10.30am to 12.30pm\
 nThis class will explore a range of techniques to get confident with your 
 drawing. Learn the importance of linework in a drawing and the impact it c
 an have on the final results.\n\nDrawing in Technicolour\nFriday 28 March\
 , 10.30am to 12.30pm\nIn this week's class we will be putting away our HB 
 pencils\, charcoal and graphite. Instead\, we will produce a range of satu
 rated\, vibrant and exquisite drawings using a colourful range of material
 s.\n\nLong Pose\nFriday 4 April\, 10.30am to 12.30pm\nA traditional life c
 lass with the model holding a single pose. Join this class to create a sin
 gle\, fully realised and resolved drawing\; or create an interesting range
  of work. Model will be in costume. One not to miss.\n\n£20 per workshop
