DESCRIPTION:Join local professional photographer Steve Samosa on a series o
 f free creative workshops designed to provide you with a range of techniqu
 es and tricks to elevate your photography. You will learn the art of strik
 ing composition\, the use of perspective and mixed lighting\; experiment w
 ith exposures and be introduced to aerial photography using drone cameras.
  Through studio practice and location trips you will develop an understand
 ing of compositional technique and the use of ISO\, aperture size and shut
 ter speeds to create visually interesting imagery.\n\nLight Painting Thurs
 day 8 May\, 1-3pm\nSwitch off the lights and add your own light sources. T
 alk about the theory behind light painting and learn how to set up your ca
 mera for long exposures. Experiment with weird and wonderful devices and t
 ools provided on the day to create your own amazing light paintings.\n\nBl
 ack and White Thursday 15 May\, 1-3pm\nMaster monochrome and learn the tip
 s and tricks to capture incredible black and white images. Learn about som
 e of the world's most iconic images\, created using black and white photog
 raphy.\n\nDrone Photography Thursday 22 May\, 1-3pm\nFind out about using 
 this device to capture wonderful aerial images and explore photography fro
 m new perspectives. Learn everything from take off to remote image capture
 .\n\nStreet Photography Thursday 29 May 1-3pm\nCovering one of the fastest
  growing forms of modern photography\, this session is all about capturing
  spontaneous moments to tell a story. With a mixture of practical\, theory
  and critique\, you will learn how to see the extraordinary in the every d
 ay.\n\nPortraits Thursday 5 June 1-3pm\nLearn how to master the available 
 light all around us to create stunning and unique portraits. Everywhere yo
 u look there are beautiful light sources\, from a harsh midsummer sun to t
 he glow of a high street store front. Spend the afternoon discovering ligh
 t locations for your portrait photography.\n\nFood and Products Thursday 1
 2 June 1-3pm\nExplore the art of food and product photography\, working to
  identify and overcome the challenges involved in getting things just righ
 t. Work together as designers\, stylists\, lighting technicians and photog
 raphers in this fun session.\n\nCreative Smoke Thursday 19 June 1-3pm\nLea
 rn how to master the creative art of smoke in your photography. Limited on
 ly by your imagination\, you can mix colours\, add movement and experiment
  with shutter speeds and camera settings to completely change the look\, t
 heme and composition of your photograph.\n\nArchitecture Thursday 26 June 
 1-3pm\nLearn how to photograph the built environment using scene-setting s
 hots\, close-ups and abstract details to tell the whole story of a structu
 re\; revealing its form\, shape and materials. Explore urban spaces old an
 d new and capture the aesthetic qualities of buildings inside and out.\n\n

  workshop\n\nPlease note you must use your own photographic equipment\n\nB
 ook as many or as few as you like of these individual workshops\, each wit

 of experience\, but please note\, as well as bringing your own photographi
