SUMMARY:International Slavery Museum: International Slavery Museum: Pop-up
DESCRIPTION:Pop-up\n04 Mar 2022—05 Jun 2022\nA new pop-up exhibition is p
lanned with creatives to develop an artistic response to Liverpool and its
role in historic slavery.\nAs a platform for multiple voices and to help
develop our vision for the International Slavery Museum\, this exhibition
will influence and shape the museum’s transformation as well as the wide
r historic waterfront\, through exciting new ideas and experimental approa
ches to how we interpret our past and look forward to the future. The arti
stic response will be the first pop-up exhibition in a series of displays
planned for the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Building\, based in the historic
Royal Albert Dock Liverpool. We are looking for a multidisciplinary soluti
on which combines different art forms\, with a creative result that is vis
ually strong and immersive and can be used as a platform for engagement\,
discussion\, and debate. The successful entry and further details will be
announced soon. Supported by funding from Liverpool City Region Combined A
 uthority.
