  Blood
DESCRIPTION:Ink and blood\nStories of abolition\n21 August 2017 to 8 April
2018\n\nInk and blood: stories of abolition explores the personal stories
of previously enslaved people and the lasting legacies of\, and contempor
ary responses to\, abolition.\n\nThe exhibition brings together a fascinat
ing private collection\, iconic documents from leading museums and archive
s in Britain\, and rare objects from both the Anti-Slavery International
library and those collected as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund Collec
ting Cultures project.\n\nThe exhibition tells the stories of those affect
ed by abolition (the ending of slavery) and later\, freedom. It is an oppo
