SUMMARY:The Royal Standard: Independents Biennial: The Lack There Of\, Luke
  George
DESCRIPTION:The Lack There Of\, Luke George\nThe Royal Standard\, L8 5AF\nD
 ate(s): 30/06/2023 - 02/07/2023\n12:00 pm - 6:00 pm\n\nThe Lack There Of:
Luke George\n\n‘The Lack There Of’ will be an exhibition comprising a
series of my most recent paintings that directly address the themes outli
ned in this year’s LIVERPOOL Biennial programme.\n\nThis series of work
utilises the outsourcing of decisions around fundamental components of pai
nting(s)\; such as form\, composition or scale\, to found objects. These o
bjects are selected for their symbolic potency and their implicit pertinen
ce to notions of ownership (and therefor authorship) and of a chronologic
OR geographic contingency or ambiguity i.e that they might belong\, or hav
e belonged to a particular time or place\, or to a particular person.\n\nA
 bout the artist: Luke George
