SUMMARY:: Incredible Edible: With for About: Care and the Commons
DESCRIPTION:With for About: Care and the Commons\nThursday 25th May 2023\,
 Incredible Edible\, Court Hey Park\, Huyton\, Knowsley\, L16 3NA\nFor this
year’s sixth With For About\, Merseyside-based community arts organisat
ion Heart of Glass is inviting artists\, activists and community practitio
ners to come together (outdoors) to reflect on the interconnectedness betw
een humans\, nature\, place and land within the context of the conflicting
climate crises.\nKey speakers include artist and researcher Youngsook Cho
i and collaborator Wendi Sia\, socio-environmental artist Kerry Morrison a
nd social justice activist\, writer and thinker Radha D’Souza.\nConversa
tions  will  be  facilitated  by  local  and  national  artists
with interests in climate crises\, local and indigenous ecologies and slow
\, interspecies practices. They include Sean Roy Parker\, Fran Disley\, Gr
ace Collins\, and more to be announced.\n\nWith For About is Heart of Glas
s’s alternative take on a conference. Our venue is a community allotment
in a park. Attendees will need to bring suitable clothing for spending th
e whole day outside. There will be some warm\, dry spaces to escape to if
necessary.\nHumanity’s exploitation of the planet’s resources affects
us all. Yet - in communities across the world - it is those of us who have
contributed least to the climate crises who are being impacted most sever
ely.\nRadha D’Souza and Youngsook Choi will introduce their work explori
ng the colonisation of indigenous cultures and lands and the impact of eco
logical damage on communities.\nMeanwhile\, artists will provide creative
interventions and workshops that make space for encountering\, listening a
nd cultivating stories with\, for and about humans and other beings. As a
lways\, With For About is a space of exchange\, with plenty of time for re
flection and exploring how contributions through the day relate to our own
work and contexts.\n\nFor more information and details\, including access
  information\, what to expect\, ticketing and bursaries\, visit: https://w
