DESCRIPTION:An exhibition that will engage the audience in discovering the 
 Bangladesh Liberation War and the 1971 Bangladesh genocide. East Pakistan 
 seceded from West Pakistan with the help of India.\n\nThe audience will he
 ar and see recordings of spoken word and poetry\, visual art\, and learn a
 bout Bangladeshi culture. From food\, songs and traditional displays of or
 naments and furniture typically found in Bangladesh.\n\nAs a spoken word a
 rtist\, I have written bilingual texts around my dual identity of being Br
 itish born and coming from a Bangali background.\n\nThere is much that is 
 unknown about the culture of Bangladesh and its partition. There is a smal
 l minority of Bangladeshi families in Liverpool and the diaspora is growin
 g.\n\nCome and hear the stories. Follow this exhibition from colonisation\
 , partition to liberation and migration.
