SUMMARY:Rapid Response Unit: IB18: Rapid Response Unit: Humanscape - Screen
 ing
DESCRIPTION:Humanscape - Screening at Rapid Response Unit\nBOOK HERE\nA sho
rt film about forced marriage and honour-based violence from a perspective
of a survivor\, followed by a panel discussion and interactive dialogue.
This is an event where art and social issues will collide to provide inter
active dialogue.\n“When I am looking down at the Liverpool landscape thr
ough the drone I look at the Liverpool landscape. But I want you to look a
gain – to look at the humanscape. Our love\, our hate\, our pain and o
ur joy\; they shape where we live\, whether we know it or not.\n\nWe are
a kaleidoscope of human experiences\, messy\, colliding in and out of ea
ch other’s lives\, intertwined but yet separate. Do we know or care th
at forced marriage or female genital mutilation takes place in our communi
ties? Do we speak up for those who do not have a voice? Do we remember the
victims? Do we stand up for them? I want you to ask questions these ques
tions\, I want you to understand.\n\nIt is only through lighting the darkn
ess and speaking of the unspoken can we raise awareness and do better for
our communities. Let’s build bridges and tear down walls.”\n\nBOOK HER
