 tival at The Atkinson\, Southport as part of Independents Biennial coincid
 ing with the launch of Sefton Open 2018.\n\nGrass-roots\, multi-arts festi
 val Threshold have teamed up with Independents Biennial &amp\; The Atkinso
 n\, Southport to deliver a free\, family friendly outdoor mini-festival on
  Saturday 28th July 2018. The event is one of the Independents Biennial’
 s five special commissions taking place during the visual arts festival\, 
 which runs until 28th October in Liverpool\, Sefton\, Knowsley\, Wirral an
 d St Helens. The sister festival to Liverpool Biennial\, it champions and 
 supports emerging and grassroots art and artists on Merseyside. \n\nThe da
 y of events by Threshold\, including a mix of visual arts\, performance\, 
 storytelling and music\, will take place at the renowned Atkinson arts cen
 tre from 11am until 3pm.\n\nThe line-up of offerings\, open to all\, inclu
 des the following: \n\nInteractive performance and theatre shows from ‘F
 unny Looking Kids: Comedy Club’ and Storytelling from the magically tale
 nted Gav Cross.\n\nA visual arts programme including interactive live scul
 ptural and drawing workshops\, using live performances on the day for insp
 iration from: Pamela Sullivan (creator of detailed and fascinating install
 ations)\; and Jazamin Sinclair (creator of satirical acerbic storyboard il
 lustration series Illustrated Prosody).\n\nMusic entertainment will come f
 rom: ‘Operation Lightfoot’\, a music and arts collaboration directed b
 y composer Luke Moore\; stand-out\, powerful country rock &amp\; roll from
  Amber Stone\; and folk-punk sounds with biting lyrics &amp\; harmonies fr
 om Jazamin Sinclair.\n\n“Threshold has grown up in the creative boom of 
 Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle as a multi-arts festival\, which is fiercely
  independent and inclusive-roots. We deliver quality above all from grass-
