 on in the field is the sixth and final workshop in a series of six practi
 cal artist professional development sessions for artists working within so
 cially engaged practice\, hosted by Heart of Glass in collaboration with M
 ark Devereux Projects. The sessions will take place in St Helens between N
 ovember 2018 and April 2019.  Find out more about this programme and Mark
  Devereux Projects here. This sixth session will be co-facilitated by art
 ist Shaun C. Badham\, please find more information below.\n\nSocially eng
 aged practitioners work with a variety of people\, from the public to loca
 l authorities\, and often require several different ‘voices’. This ses
 sion\, Collaboration in the field\, will look at the strategies artists 
 can employ to work with a range of diverse stakeholders\, communities and 
 partners\; including how to navigate bureaucracy.\n\n 	Each workshop will 
 be tailored to the participating artists’ key questions and concerns\; p
 roviding information\, advice and guidance alongside open discussions and 
 peer-to-peer sharing.\n 	Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Workshop
  lunches will be hosted by a different member of the Heart of Glass staff/
 associate artist team to provide informal networking opportunities and acc
 ess to staff expertise where relevant.\n 	Whilst primarily aimed at artist
 s working within socially engaged practice\, artists working within other 
 mediums are also welcome.\n 	Sessions can be booked individually or as a w
 hole programme at a discounted rate.\n\nIntroducing Shaun C. Badham\n\nSha
 un C. Badham born and lives in Essex. He received his BA Fine Art from Un
 iversity West of England in Bristol (2012) and MFA Fine Art from Goldsmith
 s\, University of London (2017). Through his long-term projects I’M STAY
 ING and MORNING\, Badham has developed extensive of working within the pub
 lic realm and socially engaged practice.\n\nRecent work has included I’M
  STAYING\, Sculpture in the City\, Leadenhall Market\, London (2018-19)\, 
 solo exhibition The Plotlanders\, Back Lane West\, Cornwall. Badham has 
 undertaken residences at Das Gift\, Berlin\; Dispatch\, Spike Island\, Cur
 few Tower\, Northern Ireland\; Liminal Space at TAP\; Back Lane West\, Cor
 nwall\; and Threads in Kent. Badham has been a recipient of Grants for the
  Arts\, 2016\; a-n Travel Bursary\, 2017\; and selected artist for Dialogu
 es 5 with Mark Devereux Projects\, 2018.\n\nLocation\nHeart of Glass\, Old

 ts) are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to those who would other
